2024 Community Impact: Event Sponsorships and Grant Requests

In line with CareOregon's mission to inspire and partner to create quality and equity in individual and community health, the objectives of CareOregon’s community impact grant and event sponsorship programs are to:

• Address priority social needs in the communities where our members live
• Build CareOregon partnership with CBOs addressing social needs in the community
• Increase collaboration between CBO partners to improve access to care and reduce health disparities

In 2024, our giving will focus on the following:

• Food support
• Housing support
• Social Support
• Community Event Sponsorship

We review and consider all applications in these areas but will be prioritizing funding requests for

• Culturally and linguistically specific organizations
• Programs staffed by Traditional Health Workers (THWs), including Community Health Workers, Peer Support Specialists, and other types of THWs
• Programs and services within CareOregon's service area of Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Jackson, Multnomah, Tillamook, and Washington counties in Oregon.

Programming and events supported by CareOregon may not exclude people or treat them differently because of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, national origin, race, religion, color, sex or sexual orientation.

Funding requests do not have a dollar limit. Sponsorships average $1,000 - $2,500 and Grants average $10,000 - $25,000. Organizations seeking funding at levels greater than $25,000 are encouraged to reach out to CareOregon’s grant program manager at communitygivinggrants@careoregon.org to discuss their request prior to submission.

CareOregon makes an effort to respond to all requests within 90 days.

SPONSORSHIPS

In 2024 CareOregon will consider event-based sponsorship requests from community-based organizations for community and cultural events, including health fairs, as well as professional conferences and non-profit fundraising events.
