CareOregon + Health Share of Oregon

At CareOregon, we believe every member deserves great care from the providers they trust. That’s why CareOregon is proud to be part of the Health Share of Oregon coordinated care organization (CCO). As a current CareOregon + Health Share member, you have access to our large network of providers at no cost to you through the Oregon Health Plan (OHP).

Starting on January 1, 2020, some Health Share members were assigned to new health plans and primary care providers in the metro area. Here are some important things that we want you to know:

  • You should NEVER be refused care. All services covered by OHP should still be available to you at the providers, hospitals and pharmacies that you visit in our network.
  • Keep all your appointments. All your providers should honor your appointments.
  • You can change your physical health plan. If you do not want the physical health plan you were assigned to, there are three different ways that you can change it:

    1. Call Health Share’s Customer Service at 503-416-8090 or toll-free 888-519-3845.

    2. Having trouble getting through to Health Share? Then you can call the current physical health plan on your Health Share Member ID card and they can help you make the switch:

    3. You can also call CareOregon Customer Service for help switching to a new plan. Reach our friendly and helpful agents at 503-416-4100 or toll-free at 800-224-4840.

  • You can also change your dental plan. Please call Health Share customer service at 503-416-8090 or toll-free 888-519-3845 to change your plan. If you are having difficulty getting through to Health Share because of their unusually high call volume, please call CareOregon Member Customer Service at 503-416-4100 or toll-free 800-224-4840.

  • CareOregon provides Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment services for ALL Health Share members, no matter which physical health plan you are assigned to. If you have questions, call CareOregon at 800-224-4840.

  • CareOregon Advantage (Medicare) members have no change in their coverage and should continue seeing their same providers. If your primary care provider says they can’t serve you, please call us or tell them to call CareOregon Advantage Customer Service at 503-416-4279 or toll-free 888-712-3258 and we’ll help get it straightened out for you.
