Health Share to issue new Member ID cards

February 11, 2013

Toward the end of this month, members of Health Share of Oregon will be getting new Member ID cards, as members of CareOregon and other health plans transition to the new Coordinated Care Organization.

Although the card is new, your relationship with your CareOregon patients and with CareOregon will continue. Your contract with CareOregon also applies to the CCOs CareOregon is affiliated with: Health Share of Oregon in Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties; Yamhill County Care Organization; Columbia Pacific Coordinated Care Organization in Reedsport and Columbia, Clatsop and Tillamook counties; PrimaryHealth of Josephine County; and Jackson Care Connect in Jackson County.

You can confirm member eligibility as you have always done. The Oregon Health Plan benefit package has not changed. CareOregon members who are now members of a CCO will keep the same provider. Billing will continue through CareOregon.

If you have questions about the new CCOs and your relationship with CareOregon, please contact CareOregon Customer Service, 503-416-4100 or 1-800-224-4840, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. You can also check out the CareNews story, which includes a photo of the new card. (To see both sides of the card, visit the Health Share website.)
