CareOregon Community Advisory Board Our purpose

The CareOregon Community Advisory Board (COCAB) will advise CareOregon’s Tri-County health improvement by hearing from our members, in ways such as: conducting focus groups and listening sessions, reviewing community health needs and advising CareOregon on member-centric initiatives. We will accomplish these goals by adhering to our mission and vision statements.

Our mission

In the spirit of strengthening community, the COCAB brings together CareOregon Members and Community Members to advocate for a holistic awareness of health and the accessibility of care for all CareOregon members.

Our vision

  • A CareOregon where members have equal representation at member- affected levels of the organization.
  • Members who are proactive in their healthcare and at the center of their healthcare team.
  • Members Advocating for systems change in health and wellness programs, as well as public policy
  • Services that are widely available and accessible, inclusive, equitable and just.
  • Removal of barriers Including, but not limited to: language, transportation, and honoring cultural practices
  • Innovative communications to increase health literacy and empower individual health and wellness through use of technology
