Medical Records Required for CareOregon Connect Authorizations

This is a reminder that effective 11/2/2021 medical records are required for all authorization submissions through our provider portal, CareOregon Connect. The below notice has been posted on the authorization submission screens since August. As we are moving close to 11/2/2021 we wanted to share best practices and tips!
- There is a “how to” video embedded on the authorization submission pages for your convenience. This video details how to attach medical records and create an auth template which will save you time!
- Technical issues attaching medical records should be reported to your internal IS team for help as they know your systems best.
- If you do experience an issue attaching medical records, do not delay submitting your authorization. Contact Provider Customer Service at 800.224.4840 for the Exception Request form to fax in your request.
- Email CareOregonConnect@careoregon.org with portal service issues such as unexpected error messages. Include screenshots of the errors and URL(s). Again, do not delay your auth request. Contact Provider Customer Service at 800.224.4840 for the Exception Request form to fax in your request.
