Winter is coming – and so is ePA!

This winter (starting in January 2022) CareOregon will begin accepting Prior Authorizations electronically. This will apply to both our Medicaid and Medicare lines of business. Electronic Prior Authorization
(ePA) allows for clinics to start the PA process and answer direct questions from the health plan via their EHR or a separate online portal tool. CareOregon is partnering with Surescripts to roll this out. Additional information will be posted
on our website and more details will be shared in 2022 as testing concludes.
