New DME Management Program Launches May 2026
Updated May 6, 2026
What is changing?
CareOregon is utilizing CareCentrix (CCX) to manage all Durable Medical Equipment (DME) needs for all CareOregon/Health Share, Jackson Care Connect, Columbia Pacific CCO and CareOregon Advantage members. DME suppliers will be contracted with CCX directly.
This will include:
- DME network management (contracting, fulfillment, oversight)
- A digital Point of Care (POC) platform, Parachute Health, for providers to place orders for DME services
- Updates to claims payment accuracy
- Utilization management review (requests, determination, member communications)
This change does not apply to DME supplied by a hospital or facility during an emergency department visit, inpatient stay, or at discharge, when the equipment is part of the facility encounter.
Here is what DME suppliers need to know:
- CCX will contract, credential, and manage a network of DME suppliers rendering services to CareOregon members.
- Suppliers who are directly contracted with CareOregon will continue to be contracted through July 31, 2026.
- Beginning May 1, 2026, Parachute Health will be available for DME orders to be submitted on behalf of our members.
Parachute Health will reach out directly to schedule training and onboarding sessions. Once the supplier completes the necessary steps, they will be added to the system and can be selected to fulfill orders.
Here is what ordering providers need to know:
The Parachute Health platform provides:
- Faster and direct communication with the DME supplier
- Detailed tracking of orders
- Dedicated support for questions
Providers who do not already use Parachute Health will need to create an account at parachutehealth.com. Parachute Health will provide training on how to use the platform and will be available to answer questions.
If an order gets submitted through current channels after May 1, any contracted DME supplier may enter the order into Parachute Health’s digital platform so member orders can continue to be fulfilled without disruption.
